The Lineman

This is the other Friday Night Lights piece that I worked on this semester.  For my practicum class I was I shot stills for the piece about Butler County High School in Morgantown, Ky.  My partner was Chris Fryer and I shot the stills for the piece and helped conduct the interviews and he shot the video and did the production of the piece.  I think it turned out well, but let me know what you think.

Wedding!

So I shot my first wedding this past weekend and it was a really interesting experience.  The bride is a friend of mine whom I met several years ago because I did a photo story on her.  Because it is finals week I have not had a chance to edit and tone everything but here are a few of my favorites so far.  Let me know what you think!  Like I said, my first wedding so I would love feedback.

Friday Night Lights [trailer]

This piece was produced by Jonathan Garcia, Jeff Sainlar and me as the introduction trailer to a semester long project that the Fall 2010 Practicum and Web Narratives classes produced. All of the content was shot by students in either the Practicum or Web Narratives class.  Music: "The Boys of Fall" by Kenny Chesney.

Mother Francis

This is my first attempt at a editorial video narrative.  It is about a woman named Francis Barnett who lives in Auburn, Ky., is 86 years old, and was just diagnosed with breast cancer 5 weeks ago.  There are a few glitches and some editing things that I'm currently changing but let me know what you think anyway!

Tornadoes, Pee-Wee Soccer and Colorguard...Oh My!

Here are a few features that I shot over the past week in Elizabethtown while at Mountain Workshops and here in Bowling Green.  One of the shots is a weather feature that I shot on deadline for Practicum today :-)  Let me know what you think!

Keenland Workshop

My practicum class went to Keenland for a remote camera workshop this past Friday (for all my friends not from KY, Keenland is a horse racing track in Lexington).  Here are a few of my favorites which I'm going to turn in for class.  We had to come up with a feature, and two actions, one from inside the track and one from outside the track.  I've never shot horse racing before so I would appreciate any critique you have for me :-)

Here are a few features, portraits, and sports photographs that I have taken this semester either for my practicum class, web narratives or for The Herald.  Let me know what you think.

Starry Nights

So I went to Starry Nights Music Festival in Bowling Green, Ky. this past weekend and it was fantastic!  I ended up getting a press pass which allowed me awesome access so I could take better pictures and here are a few of my favorites :-)  Let me know what you think!

Summer Portraits

Here are some portraits that I shot over the summer and really liked.  I also did the Fall football preview portraits but I will put some of those up in another blog post :-)

Summer Sports

So I was very bad over the summer about contributing to my blog.  I have decided to relocate my blog back to this one because it is now so much easier to make my photos very large.  In order to make up for my lack of blogging this summer, and also because I want to see what people think about my pictures, I'm going to periodically post some of my pictures throughout the next few weeks or so.  The first batch of photos are from my summer sports archives.  Enjoy :-)

moving my blog...

So I am moving my blog to www.delaynaearley.tumblr.com.  Nothing against blogspot, I just think that tumblr looks cleaner and better as a site.  I am going to be keeping this blog though so that I can keep in touch with what everyone is doing who has blogspot.  See you on Tumblr :-)
